Can you say HOT!!?? We spent 8 hours and 470 miles on the road through the Mojave Desert to arrive in Bakersfield, CA. It was by far the most difficult stretch of our trip. Mainly because our generator quit working so we were roasting in the RV!!! We stopped along the way to eat lunch in a restaurant and get a break from the heat. So, needless to say, we were very excited to get to Uncle Mike and Aunt Sheri's house where a refreshing pool was awaiting us. We had a wonderful time visiting with a bunch of our CA relatives. A big cookout with all the kids playing in the pool was just what we needed after a long day on the road. Chase and Bode were so exhausted by the end of the evening but were excited about plans of going to Mike and Sheri's gym in the morning for some Summer Camp activities. Until then...
Look at that gorgeous family! I'm having fun following your trip. I'd say I'm envious... Well, I am of the time you're getting with the family but I'd be such a terrible passenger/fellow-RV'er that I would've been sent home by now! :)
