Day 2
Whew! Had a fantastic day site-seeing in Nashville. Everyone here is so hospitable and sweet! Started with breakfast in the RV (lots of coffee), then headed over to Hermitage, which is the home of our 7th President Andrew Jackson! Yes, we got some culture today. We spent a few hours touring the grounds, hearing historical facts, enjoying the gardens, then ended the tour at his grave site. The kids actually enjoyed it too as they received an audio tour narrated by his pet parrot. We then headed to Nashville's Adventure Science Museum where we saw a neat show performed by Doktor Kaboom and stayed several hours thereafter playing. We headed back to the RV park and hit the pool for a couple of hours. We were honored to hear one of Nashville's country music artists serenade us pool-side.....well, more like karaoke singing, but I'm not complaining. Norm grilled a wonderful dinner for us and we are trying to figure out how we are going to make it to 9:30pm for fireworks (time changed on us)! We are certainly dead-tired from our day but we plan on climbing to the roof of our RV to watch the fireworks! Happy 4th everyone! Tomorrow, Arkansas!
