Day 1

300 Miles traveled and we arrive in Nashville, TN.  Our campground is across from The Grand Ole Opry which is pretty cool (if you like country music).  On the way, we stopped in Sevierville and ate lunch with Grandfather German and Carol.  We really enjoyed our visit, albeit a quick one!
The RV ride was smooth although, Norm tried to talk me into switching drivers, WHILE MOVING at 70 MPH down the interstate!  Anyone who knows Norm is not at all surprised by this request.  In his quest to "do all things with lightning speed", he will probably ask again over the next 28 days.  Those that know me, know I am not going to fall for it.
The boys had a great ride; watching videos, playing Lego's and license plate games (Thanks McClellans!)  We arrived around 4:30pm and headed straight for the pool since it was 88 degrees.  We got a rain shower right at dinner time so luckily I brought prepared ribs, mac and cheese , cantaloupe, and rolls.  I was very excited to discover that the microwave is also a "half-time" oven in disguise so now I can bake on the road....YEAH ME! (or not)  Throwing some baseball until bedtime.  Tomorrow we check out Nashville and find some fireworks for the 4th!

  1. Chase is apparently too cool to smile....or too hungry to take a second for a photo op before diving in!
